Christian Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Expectations:

The CAC is committed to sponsoring wholesome athletic competition events for any and all of the students attending our education program. These programs: soccer, volleyball, basketball and cheerleading, are to provide an atmosphere that is reflective of true sportsmanship as well as athletic skills. The educational benefits of athletic involvement include the development of values such as respect, integrity, ethics and pride.
First and foremost is respect. Respect for the players, officials, coaches and other spectators attending an event. This is not optional, it is mandatory. This includes ANY type of taunting, derogatory remarks, or profane language directed at anyone attending an event. Should this type of behavior occur as a player, you will be pulled from the game, as a spectator or coach, you will be asked to leave the event immediately. It must be stressed here that it cannot and will not be tolerated.
Our goal is not to police these events, but to stress that our actions set the stage for our children's behavior in life. Children learn by example, and if our example is jumping onto the playing area and screaming at the officials, what message are we sending? Is this the example we would want them to learn from? Is winning at all costs a value we really want to pass on? Involvement in athletics has been and can continue to be a lifelong benefit to our children. We would ask your willing cooperation to support our goals so that we can continue to provide the best program for all our children to enjoy and benefit from.
Thanks for your support!
